10:30am- Family event II: “Monsieur Croche presents: How to Cakewalk in Color, Song and Sound!”

Monsieur Croche, alias Claude Debussy, loved colors and sounds, as well as singing. He was able to transform visual and emotional experiences into beautiful and meaningful sounds that would enrich the world with great music. Now it’s your turn to be inspired by great colors and visual art and create music as well as artwork in response. Encounter instruments such as a bassoon, the human voice, piano, the japanese koto and others, and learn about different styles of music as you compose with a graphic score to one of Monsieur Croche’s favorite melodies. You will also have the chance to learn to Cakewalk. Let’s see who’ll “Take the Cake”!

Age range: 3-10 years old; All ages are welcome
