WQXR's Brad Balliett and members of The Declassified ("Decoda" as of June 1), a innovative and celebrated collective of young musicians focused on creating a meaningful role for classical music in communities around the globe, host this event alongside Festival Musicians. Join them on a quest to discover the essence of Italian music and art in Chelsea's world-renowned gallery district. Appropriate for ages 3-12.

Music of the Metropolises: From London to Venice via New York

This evening of music pays homage to musical contributions of major cities, tying in the modern era with jazz and New York. Some of the great masters of the past such as Vivaldi, Dowland and Duke Ellington will receive new jazz arrangements from Aaron Diehl, who, alongside Festival Musicians, will take us on the final musical journey of the 2013 Chelsea Music Festival.
