Fresh off of the release of their album 'No Old Rain,’ The Rogério Boccato Quarteto brings their signature sound fusing Brazilian music with creative and contemporary jazz to the Festival for a night at Chelsea’s Norwood Club.
‘No Old Rain’ focuses on gems of Brazilian music excavated from the source - written by four of the greatest composers of the post-Bossa Nova generation, who took Brazilian music in new directions: Toninho Horta, Milton Nascimento, Egberto Gismonti and Edu Lobo. Just as their music could only have come from Brazil in the late 20th century, ‘No Old Rain’ is the seemingly inevitable result of Rogério Boccato’s 13 years in New York.
