Join us for an afternoon guided tour of historic neighborhood churches as we explore the Festival theme of Adoration.
Led by the President of Save Chelsea & neighborhood aficionado, Laurence Frommer, this tour gives participants a chance to explore inside and around the churches featured in this year’s Festival. Beginning at St. Paul’s German Lutheran Church, our dynamic Ensemble-in-Residence Barkada Quartet will open the walk by performing some Bach chorales as part of our 333Chorale Project. From there, walkers will be led to the General Theological Seminary where they will be granted an exclusive tour of the grounds and a peek into cellist Matt Haimovitz’s rehearsal. The tour ends at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church founded in 1831. A gelato treat by local NY favorite Cashewtopia of Organic Nectars will top off the Walk.
